Overview

A third team All American in 2019, Trevon Diggs (the younger brother of Stefon Diggs) will bring an impressive combination of size, athletic ability, and experience to his future NFL team. Diggs can run with NFL caliber WRs and make plays on the ball due to his above average length but he will need to refine certain aspects of his game before becoming a reliable starter.

Scouting Report

vs. LSU 2019

  • Chase caught a deep TD pass over him in 1st - Diggs was in decent position but Chase overpowered him for the ball
  • good size for a CB - tall, lengthy - looks like he could play safety
  • runs well - fluid, explosive
  • did not appear to have too many issues keeping up with WRs (including Chase) down field - though he can get grabby
  • Chase won the war, but Diggs won his share of battles
  • often in a position to make a play on the ball - even on the plays he lost
  • nice goal line tackle in 2nd Q
  • plays with high energy
  • can make open field tackles

vs. South Carolina 2019

  • does not allow much separation - sticks to WRs
  • not thrown at often
  • effort as a tackler not bad - better than a lot of the other CBs in this class - though needs to improve form

Trevon Diggs Best Team Fits

  • Dallas Cowboys: with Byron Jones leaving in free agency, the Cowboys will need to restock their CB depth.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars: Jacksonville needs to revamp their secondary.
  • Los Angeles Rams: even with Jalen Ramsey on board, the Rams still need to fortify their CB unit.
